Roofing leadwork solutions
The most common type is called flat-seam leadwork, which consists of flat sheets of lead that are bent into various shapes and sizes before being attached to the roof. Another popular type is called standing-seam leadwork, which consists of vertical strips of lead that are bent into various shapes before being attached to the roof. Leadwork repairs
We undertake corrective work for customers who need our advice and experience. As lead is often used to waterproof roofs, when it starts to crack or break down due to age or weathering, it needs to be repaired or replaced. Common repairs include patching small cracks or holes with new lead sheets; replacing broken down sections of lead chimney flashing; and resealing seams and joints with sealant or mastic. In some cases, an entire section of lead may need to be replaced if it has become too damaged to repair.
